At Kangaroobie we aim to make the planning and execution of the camp as easy as possible for you, the hard working teachers. The information contained in this section provides you with most of the Risk Management and Camp Planning information that you need to make your job easier. If there is any further information you would like or need please contact us and we can arrange it for you.

Bushfire Procedures

While the threat and likelihood of bushfires at Kangaroobie is minimal due to the surrounding terrain, availability of water and minimal surrounding bushland, we take the issue very seriously and the safety of your children is paramount. You can download our Bushfire Response Plan, but in a nutshell, if a Code Red (Catastrophic) day is declared for this area we will either delay the arrival of the group until after the Code Red day or evacuate the group back to school on the day before the Code Red day. We feel this is the most responsible and sensible course of action we can take to ensure the safety of your children. Any fees not used for the days at camp not attended will be returned to you or we will try to schedule the students to come back at a later date.
