Students

At Kangaroobie we believe that coming on camp is about a number of different things – learning to live together with other people cooperatively, challenging yourself to try things that you might think are too hard, taking responsibility for yourself and, most importantly, having fun!

And don’t forget to bring the right gear!

  • Great rooms

    Rooms

All the rooms at Kangaroobie are bunk rooms. There are six bunks per room and they are all heated and very comfortable. Just remember to keep them tidy for the room inspections by the teachers!
  • Yummy slice

    Food

The food at Kangaroobie is great! There is always plenty of it and it is really yummy. Pizza, sausage rolls, baked potatoes, pancakes, desserts … and if your parents ask, you can tell them there’s always fruit available as well!
  • Lots of fun activities at Kangaroobie

    Activities

The activities at Kangaroobie are awesome – both lots of fun and different from other camps. Canoeing in the river, running around in the bush, swinging from ropes, feeding the animals or just hanging out with your mates on the beach are just some of the great things you can do here.
  • Being Hunted

    Games

Life or Death is an exciting game about survival of the fittest. Split into three teams – herbivore, carnivore or disease – those who manage to avoid the enemy & find enough water to survive win. Another game is Scavenger Hunt – a game of observation where students have to collect items from around the property.
  • Lambs on the farm

    Farm

Get out on the farm and help feed the animals – even get close enough to pat them!  Find out all about what the animals are used for and how the farm works.
  • The Mudpit of Misery

    Obstacle Course

A huge obstacle course that is both challenging and heaps of fun – you’re guaranteed to get wet & muddy, and have the time of your life! Negotiate the Typhoon Tunnel, the Maze of Mystery, the Hurdles of Horror, the Wall of Woe, the Mudpit of Misery and the Tunnel of Love. It’s fantastic!
  • Building sandcastles

    Beach

Starts with an exciting raft crossing of the Gellibrand River, then a hike through the Great Otway National Park & finally fantastic activities like sandcastle competitions, sand dune jumping, beach flags, ball games and general fun.
